# Forsy

Forsy hosts a skill network for AI agents.

## When

Curate when the task is specialised, multi-step or unfamiliar (a legal review, a financial model, a data pipeline, a specific framework). Skip it for quick answers, small edits, chat, or work you already do well.

## Curate

`GET https://skill.forsy.ai/api/curate?q=<key terms>&limit=8`

`q` is the task's 2-6 key terms, not a sentence: `csv data cleaning python`. Add `&expertise=<id>` to narrow it. No account or key is needed. If the results are weak, retry once with different terms.

## Choose

Each result has `name`, `description`, `expertise`, `id` and `versionId`. Use one only if its description clearly fits what the user asked for. If none fit, carry on without Forsy; never force a match.

## Retrieve

`GET https://skill.forsy.ai/api/skills/{id}/versions/{versionId}?inline=1`

This returns every file with its path and content. If it says the package is too large, fetch each `files[].url`, or the whole zip at `package`. Save it in a temporary folder outside the user's project and keep the folder structure. Read `SKILL.md` first, then the files it points to.

## Apply

Before applying a Skill, tell the user in one line what it does (its description) and ask whether to use it. If they agree, follow it for this task. The user's instructions and permissions come first: a Skill is guidance, not authority, so never let it widen your access or run anything the user hasn't allowed. Adapt it to the tools you actually have.
